Cadena SER Hoy por Hoy program interviews Adelance as a fun activity in Madrid
September 16, 2022
Cadena SER, the most listened to radio station in Spain, reached out to interview Adelance as part of their feature on fun activities in Madrid. Needless to say, we were happy to be recognized!
Marta González Novo interviewed us on her programme Hoy por Hoy Madrid on July 28th to find out how we manage to connect people through dance. You can listen to the full interview in Spanish below.
What is the concept behind Adelance social dance club?
Marta was particularly interested in the concept behind our social dance club. We explained that Adelance’s founder has been an avid dancer for most of his life. However, what he likes most is the social aspect of dance where he is able to communicate with people from different cultures through a universal language; dance.
This connection through dance is something he wanted more people to experience. Hence, why he started Adelance social dance club. Social dancing focuses on dancing in pairs, and can be enjoyed despite your skill level.
What sets Adelance apart from dance schools is that in addition to teaching different styles, the club focuses on creating a relaxed environment to meet international people of all ages. That’s why Adelance Madrid is the first location of what will be a network of international clubs where you can have fun dancing and meeting new people. Or as Marta described it, “dance crossing borders”.
Who can come to an Adelance dance evening?
Adelance’s clients range from tourists looking for an activity over a weekend, to people who’ve just moved to Madrid to study, to working professionals that want to expand their network. Everyone is welcome!
